A large element of Backup Technology’s success can be accredited to their partnership with Asigra – the world leading provider of Online Backup and Disaster Recovery software.
With customers storing from 50GB to over 100TB each, BTL now manage the backup of over 3 Petabytes of storage. Lakestyle works with BTL to design backup solutions, security solutions, and accreditation issues around this, with BTL operating the service once live, and dealing with backup management and incidents.
The IT infrastructure of each client company is different with respect, to network topology, quantity of data, email systems, databases. No client will be identical to another. Some clients will want to backup, keeping the data on their own site, whereas others will allow the data to be stored in one of the UK / USA Datacenters used by BTL. Therefore each backup solution will be unique and tailored to the clients exact requirements
BTL manage all backups. So if the data is kept on the customer site, a VPN (Virtual Private Network) will be used to gain access to the backup vault to determine the success or otherwise of the backup. BTL proactively monitors backup status providing management reports via daily email to nominated client representatives. For any backups that fail BTL will pro-actively work with clients to resolve issues, and get things working.
Access to a Web Monitoring Portal is provided to all clients which allows tracking of the current status and progress of backups through the intuitive and easy to use layout.
